Kicking off Summer Reading

Marsh Day is a big success.

The Summer Reading Program had a successful start with 32 children attending Marsh Day.  The program started with Donna Mayne, Joyce Hiney and Ilona Henricksen reading to the group.

Anita Fisher talked about marshes and thrilled the children with her two friends:  a turtle and salamander.  Children loved touching Anita's "special friends."

Becky Cronk and Leslie Brandt supervised the children playing a game outside.

The craft for the morning was making turtles out of paper plates.  Jean Jessen, Donna Mayne, Jan Richmond, Marla Newlin, and Ilona Henricksen helped the children make their turtles.

Everyone enjoyed their snack of birds' nests with eggs made by Gertrude Jensen.
